Re: Mmathurin
Now RAFT in Mathematics would certainly appeal to students of the Arts who dislike Math because you're asking the student to take on another identity. Also I like this way of asking students to compare and contrast abstract concepts.

RE: canthony
One of my favourite topics in SS Consumer Affairs and Sub-topic: Importance of Labels. Good RAFT and I just thought of an alternative where I am a consumer who is allergic to peanuts and I am to write a letter to a food company which did not indicate that traces of peanuts were in the chocolate which I had consumed, resulting in illness. I urge them to consider upgrading their labels to protect consumers like me.

i like your RAFT cwinter particularly because you Incorporated the technology aspect of it by allowing students to use the technologies that the1 y are comfortable with and are familiar with as well, I think it adds a little spice to the assignment.
I also like yours as well kmesmin again of the incorporation of the technology that the students are familiar with, again this adds a little excitement to the assignment.
i liked all the other RAFT assignments, i must say very creative ideas. Well done my fellow colleagues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In one of the Primary school text books was a story entiltled "My Life as a Pencil" where the pencil was speaking to us humans about the pain that it goes through every time we sharpen it or leave it behind for somebody else. I actually sympathized with the pencil. After knowing that RAFT story, I tried my best to avoid sharpening my pencils, leaving it out of the pencil case and using its eraser. I still think about it up to this day. Suffice it to say that RAFT is not only a GREAT strategy to generate creativity among students but it is a great way of allowing students to view things at a different perspective, acquire respect and appreciation, and in my case, a life long lesson.

RE: cwinter
I love your idea of incorporating the social networking site to the activity (bringing a bit of authenticity to the classroom & trying to make math fun). I can imagine myself doing that activity or using it in my future teachings.
